Description
GR8312 is designed to monitor the outputs of switching power supply and generate the power good signal to inform the system. There are several important functions of GR8312: over-voltage, under-voltage, over current protection and power good signal generating.
Over-voltage protection (OVP) monitors the 12V to protect the power supply and system when the supply voltage exceeds the normal operation voltage.
Under-voltage protection (UVP) monitors the 12V to protect the power supply and system. When power supply is ready or going to shutdown, power good signal generating notifies personal computers; it provides a reliable power supply environment for system.
Over current protection (OCP) monitors output currents by using differential comparator circuit to make the point setting through sense resistor is more exact and easy. GR8312 provides the fault protection latch (FPO), a power good output (PGO), the PSON control and a power good input control pin (PGI).
Applications
l PC power supply
l LCD TV power supply
